Balfe's sent me the part I requested, but I got an email saying 'collection overdue' to let me know it was ready. According to their receipt, they also claimed to have sent me a text message 11 days earlier saying the part was in. However, my phone shows I never got that SMS. What happened to it? Did it go to my home number or maybe my work number, which folks often mistake for a mobile instead of a landline? Thankfully, the 'collection overdue' email came through a different channel than the 'ready to collect' message, or else I might've missed picking it up altogether.

From the moment I placed my order to the delivery in Essex, the updates were spot on, and the driver who brought it was a super nice guy—really friendly, cheerful, and helpful. It was fantastic that it was wheeled right up to my door (in perfect shape) all set to ride without a bunch of cardboard to deal with too... a lovely touch.
